Job Title: LABOUR RELATIONS MANAGER

Description
The position requires foresight to anticipate the changing business environment and the ability to creatively and proactively react to the demands of the unions. The successful candidate is expected to achieve a good Industrial Relations atmosphere that will encourage peaceful coexistence with the unions. Other key activities include:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-Excellent organizational skills are essential to this role;
-Sound business judgment coupled with an in depth knowledge of the oil industry business activities;
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required and the ability to deal with employees at all level.
Qualifications / Experience
-B.Sc. Degree in Labour Relations or any of the Social Sciences. A degree in Industrial Relations will be of added advantage;
-Master’s Degree will be of added advantage;
-Good working experience of Industrial Relations with knowledge of relevant Legislature: Labour Act, Factory Act and Trade Dispute Act;
-Participate in regular cycle of Collective Bargaining agreements at all times advocating the position of MRS Oil Nigeria Plc and ensure negotiations progress towards a mutually acceptable outcome;
-Participate in Industry forum to benchmark Best Practice in Labour Relations;
-Participate in Joint Consultative meetings to maintain peaceful-working atmosphere to grow the business;
-Liaise with both PENGASSAN & NUPENG and other related Government agencies e.g. Ministry of Labour and Productivity as may be necessary.
