Job Title: CARBON CREDIT RELATIONSHIP MANAGER
Salary Range/Grade: TBA (in $USD or local equivalent) compensation tried to performance metrics
Work Base: Based in Nigeria

Reporting To: Group Carbon Manager
Responsible For: Local coordination and relationship management as well as helping country managers.

Main Purpose of Job:
Working with both country managers and regional managers to ensure carbon group tasks are met.
Maintaining relationships with local country DNA’s and other third parties;

Ensuring high quality of communication between geographically disperse employees in tough stuff on carbon issues
Helping with the relationships with DOEs and other experts.

Working with third parties to prepare validation and verification of projects
Ensuring carbon documentation is written at a high quality and deadlines are meant
Help with correspondence with UN Executive Board and DOEs.


Experience/Qualification:
Degree in engineering, renewable energy, environmental siences or relevant degree. Masters degree will be an added advantage.
A minimum of 3-5 years carbon experience, including CDM or VER certification.

You are a proactive, tenacious, ambitious business professional with a track-record for achieving ambitious goals.
Naturally inquisitive and creative; desire to continuously imprive current business practices / processes; able to think and innovatively.
Resourceful: able to achieve result in an environment that us challenging and sometimes unpredictable
Involvement in the full project cycle of at least 10 carbon projects (CDM or voluntary)
Proven experience in the CDM/VER project cycle and experience authoring UNFCCC documents. Experience with PoA and liaising with DOEs will be an advantage.


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Good interpersonal communicator and problem solving ability
Highly developed entrepreneurial spirit and thorough understanding of the carbon markets
Responsible and resourceful individual who operates effectively without constant supervision
Tenacious work ethic and a sense or urgency in solving problems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential
Experience in Africa and relationship with African DNAs.

Willingness to frequently travel throughout West Africa
