John Snow, Inc. (JSI) is an international public health consulting firm and manages two projects/contracts through its integrated office in Abuja, Nigeria. To support the implementation of the health supply chain project in Nigeria, JSI is seeking qualified candidates for he following positions:

ALL APPLICANTS should possess the following minimum skills and qualification:

Specific expertise in HIV/AIDS, TB, or malaria programs is strongly desired.
Extensive knowledge of he Nigerian public health sector.
Strong analytical, problem solving and excellent technical writing and oral presentation skills are highly desired.

Ability to work as part of a team and to be self-manage eg. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability and willingness to travel in the field.


Job Title: SENIOR LOGISTICS ADVISOR, HIV/AIDS
The Senior logistics Advisor will lead a team of advisors in the SCMS project in support of the unification project.
Key Responsibilities
Provide supply chain technical leadership in the implementation of the HIV/AIDS supply chain unification project in the selected states.
Liaise with SMOH leadership in the selected states to provide. supply chain capacity building activities to relevant officials in the state.
Lead the establishment and implementation of a regional technical working group that will support and monitor the activities of the unification project.
Serve as the link between SMOH, implementing partners and other stakeholders involved in the unification project to timely provide appropriate feedback on the progress ofthe project.
Support the activities of warehouse and distribution service providers to troubles hoot and address supply chain issues that will impact commodities availability before, during and after distribution-of commodities.
Organize and lead monitoring and supportive visits to health facilities within the assigned states to support capacity transfer to appropriate health facility staff for efficient management of supply chain activities at the facility level.
Facilitate the process of logistic information management system gathering penodicallvln collaboration with appropriate
state officials to support timely health commodities distribution to facilities.
Work with the Abuja office to develop and review work plan for supply chain activities in support of the Government and partners in the project.
Contribute to routine monthly, quarterly and annual reports for submission to program funders.
Perform any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills and Qualification
A master’s degree in pharmacy, public health, laboratory science, logistics management or business administration.
7-10 years of professional experience in health programs, preferably in an international health care supply chain management environment.
Previous experience in managing health supply chain contracts with third party service providers in warehousing and/or transportation is strongly desired.
Ability to lead and manage a team is a plus.



Job Title: LABORATORY LOGISTICS ADVISOR, HIV/AIDS
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Government of Nigeria, PEPFAR implementing partners and Global Fund sub- recipients to review and optimize existing laboratory networks.
Support the collection of laboratory logistics data using national HIV/AIDS laboratory logistics tools to inform resupplies, quantification, funding and procurement decisions.
Provide support for the supervision of the SCMS cold chain assessment, warehousing and distribution activities to support service delivery.
Provide technical support to the Government and partners on product specifications and selection to inform
quantification and procurement of laboratory commodities.
Provide technical assistance to the Government and partner teams to establish/update the standardized list of laboratory commodities and equipment for each level of the national health pyramid.
Support the harmonization and standardization of laboratory equipment, reagents and consumables to inform
procurement, funding and service delivery decision.
Support the process of post-market validation of HIV rapid test kits and other laboratory products as appropriate, based on the guidance of the national programs and USG team.
Provide support to ensure that expired or unusable chemicals and reagents are separated from active stock and treated following appropriate procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills and Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science, public health, logistics management, or Its equivalent.
3-5 years of professional experience in health programs, preferably clinical laboratory work and supply chain management.
Specific experience in HIV/AIDS, TB, or malaria laboratory commodities forecasting and supply planning is strongly desired.
Significant experience with HIV/AIDS diagnostics equipment maintenance and cold chain management is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to monitor, supervise, and train health service providers.


Job Title: LOGISTICS ADVISOR (HIV/AIDS)
To be based in the following locations: Ondo, Ekiti, Osun, Imo, Delta, FCT, Niger, Cross River, Gombe, Sokoto, and Nasarawa States.
Key Responsibilities
Support the coordination of supply chain activities for timely receipt of reports from health facilities, processing of reports and filling of requirements to ensure that health facilities are re-supplied with appropriate commodities.
Support activities of the state-based logistics management unit in data collection, collation, dissemination, and use to
inform decision making on supply chain activities.
Serve as the link between PEPFAR implementing partners, SMOH and Global Fund/NACA partners and the warehouse location to ensure that commodities supplies to health facilities are seamless.
Collaborate with implementing partners and state government officials to organize and participate in monitoring and support visits to health facilities and provide support for smooth implementation of supply chain activities in selected areas and other locations.
Support the process of proof of delivery gathering, review and sharing with relevant stakeholders in the state to validate the supply of health commodities to facilities.
Collaborate with other JSI project staff in the states to support supply chain activities and relationships with state officials and relevant stakeholders.
Attend relevant supply chain meetings within the states and make presentations as required.
Contribute to routine monthly, quarterly and annual reports for submission to program funders.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
