The pan-African conglomerate, Dangote Group, is offering automatic employment to first class graduates of Kano
University of Science and Technology, Wudil, the organisation has
announced. Already, seven students of the university graduated with
first class in the last academic year.
A statement from the Group said the gesture was part of the
contributions of the company to the development of education and to
motivate the students to be serious with their education. The statement
further quoted the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Ibrahim
Garba, who visited the Northern Office of Dangote Group, as expressing
appreciation from the university to the Group, which he also noted had
donated N100 million to the university as well as helping to launch an
appeal fund to give the school a facelift.
